Jackson County COVID-19 numbers have increased from 87.36 OSSBA MAP (RED LEVEL) to 40.18 (ORANGE LEVEL) OSSBA MAP. Navajo Public Schools WILL CONTINUE TRADITIONAL SCHOOL next week, January 25th-29th. We will follow the same quarantine procedures that we did the first semester. High School basketball games will be at Hollis January 21-23 for the Tri-County Festival. Navajo will play Hollis January 21st at 6:00/7:30 (girls/boys), games will be broadcast on 93.5 FM and live streamed at hollistigertv.com. We will play Mangum January 22nd at 6:00/7:30 and Snyder on January 23rd 3:00/4:30. Our teams have been given 100 tickets and coaches will distribute to fans. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing when possible.

Basketball Schedule for January 18-22: Monday January 18- JH/HS @ Granite 4:30/5:30/6:30- There will be no HS Girls game that night, there will be limited attendance as Granite sent tickets to the teams, they will clear out gym after JH games to disinfect. Tuesday January 19- JH/HS vs Tipton. JH games will start at 4:00 P.M, HS at 6:30, limited attendance to 4 per player/cheerleader, will clear out gym after JH games to disinfect. Navajo's Homecoming games and ceremony this Saturday January 9th will be live streamed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Invcen72V6w The girls game will start at 1:30 P.M. followed by the boys game against Central Marlow. The homecoming court will begin at approximately 5:00 P.M.

JH Tri-County tournament scheduled for Jan 11-16 has changed to a 2 day festival at Snyder. Navajo will play January 11th at 4:30/5:30 against Snyder and January 14th at 4:30/5:30 against Mangum @ Snyder. Safety protocols include: Temps taken, practice social distancing, sit with family, masks highly recommended, and after your teams games please exit the gym.

Navajo Basketball Schedule this week: Tuesday January 5th: JH vs Sentinel 4:00 P.M. HS vs Sentinel 6:30 P.M. Home safety protocols: 4 guests per player/cheerleader, social distance, masks when not eating drinking, will clear out bleachers to disinfect in between JH and HS games. Fans coming for HS game will not be permitted in gym until around 6:10 P.M. as we will be disinfecting gymnasium after the JH game. Friday January 8th: HS @ Fletcher 6:30. Saturday January 9th: Homecoming vs Central Marlow 1:30 P.M. Girls Game, 3:00 P.M. Boys Game, 5:00 P.M. Homecoming Festivities. Same safety protocols apply as listed above.

All students can receive FREE breakfast and lunch for the remainder of this school year. Please check and pay any outstanding balance as your child may have charges due to getting extra milk and/or water ($.50 per).

Navajo High School basketball will return to action Saturday January 2nd at Big Pasture. The girls will play at 1:00 P.M. followed by the boys. We have 50 tickets that the teams will distribute to attend the games. Other safety protocols will be followed as well including wearing masks and socially distancing with families when possible. Information on home safety protocols will come out on Monday January 4th. Remember no school January 4th, we will resume classes Tuesday January 5th.

Semester Exams for JH/HS students will be Wednesday December 16th for odd hours (1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th), and Thursday December 17th for even hours (2nd, 4th, and 6th). If your child has an A for the Semester grade they are exempt from taking the semester exam in that hour and do not need to come to school. Semester Exam Schedule: Wed: 1st Hour- 7:55-9:35, 3rd Hour- 9:40-10:50, 5th Hour 10:55-12:05, 7th Hour- 1:16-3:00. Thur: 2nd Hour- 8:30-10:15, 4th Hour- 10:20-12:05, 6th Hour- 1:16-3:00.
