Parents of students who ride the soccer field bus route: Due to construction on the soccer field road, we will be picking up students and dropping off at the Hangar 36 parking lot that is owned by the Altus airport 3 miles north of Altus. This will start Thursday January 13th and run until the soccer field road is complete (about a week). Sorry for the inconvenience, dropoff and pickup times will be similar.

We would like to congratulate Navajo Junior High English Teacher Ryanne Foret for receiving the VFW Teacher of the Year Award for 6th-8th grade teachers. She will represent the state of Oklahoma and have a shot at winning the National VFW Teacher of the Year Award.

Once again we would like to congratulate Jasper Lenard, 8th-grade student. Jasper won 2nd place at the county level for the VFW Patriot's Pen essay contest. Out of 17 students at Navajo that entered Jasper Lenard went on to the district/regional level to compete. Jasper won 1st place at that level and now is going to State. In May, Jasper will be receiving a monetary award for his 2nd place win and now his 1st place title. Jasper, we are sending you good luck vibes as your essay continues on to State. Way to go!

Navajo HS boys play at 4:00 for 3rd place followed by the HS girls at 5:30 in the Lawton Coliseum Tournament Saturday January 8th. Come out and support the Tribe!!!

Navajo 7th-12th graders will be taking semester exams if they have a semester average below an A in that class. If a student has an A for a class they are exempt from taking the exam and do not have to come to school for that class or classes. Semester exams are given for odd hour classes Wednesday and even hour classes Thursday. The schedule is posted below. Friday will be a distance learning day and teachers have communicated with students what is expected for that day.

Navajo HS boys will play at 12:20 in Granite today Dec 11 against Corn Bible in the Best of the SW tournament. The HS girls will play against Hollis at 7:00 in the finals. Come out and support the tribe!!!

Navajo HS girls beat Lone Wolf this afternoon to advance to the semifinals of the Best of the Southwest Tournament in Granite this afternoon. They will play against the winner of Blair and Corn Bible at 4:20 P.M Friday. The HS boys will play tonight against Hollis at 8:20 P.M. in the tournament at Granite. Come out and support the Indians.
