Our eighth-grade Personal Financial Literacy class attended Altus' Reality Check, where they were given a profession, yearly and monthly salary, marital status, family status, and a checkbook ledger. From there, the students had to visit each booth to pay their bills and manage their finances. Some of these booths included housing, insurance, transportation, communications, tag agency, haircuts, clothing, and groceries, among many others. Some students even were given driving tickets, and others had to get a second job! Thank you, Altus Public Schools, for hosting this fantastic event!
