Our eighth-grade Personal Financial Literacy class attended Altus' Reality Check, where they were given a profession, yearly and monthly salary, marital status, family status, and a checkbook ledger. From there, the students had to visit each booth to pay their bills and manage their finances. Some of these booths included housing, insurance, transportation, communications, tag agency, haircuts, clothing, and groceries, among many others. Some students even were given driving tickets, and others had to get a second job!
Thank you, Altus Public Schools, for hosting this fantastic event!
NHS senior families! We will run Senior Social Media Spotlights on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages!
If you’d like your senior to be included, please send in a picture of their senior panel or senior pictures, a baby picture, and no more than ten pictures of their time here at Navajo, also what their favorite memory is of their time here at Navajo, their plan after high school, and anyone that they would like to thank.
For more information, your senior student can check their 2023 Google Classroom or the informational paper they were given at school.
Please email Senior Spotlights to Brittney Malott at Bmalott@navajo.k12.ok.us as soon as possible. Only email submissions will be accepted! Please put Senior Spotlight in the subject line of the email.
