Thank you for your support for Mario Berumen and his family. They are appreciative of the outpouring of concern and help they have already received.
For those who do not know, Mario lost his home to a fire on Saturday.
At this time, the family will be staying with friends and family. Our community is ready to help and are asking what they can do for donations. At this time, it would be conducive to receive donations in the form of gift cards. The family appreciates the collecting of clothing and household items, but they are currently restricted on how much room they have for all of the items being donated. The gift cards will allow the family to get what they need as they find they are needing to replace items.
Thank you and if you have any questions please feel free to contact Navajo High School.
We would like to extend our congratulations to Sadie McDowell, an eighth-grader who recently won several awards for her essay on "How America Inspires Us" through the VFW Patriot Pen program. The VFW Patriot Pen program is open to 6th through 8th graders nationwide, and we are extremely proud of Sadie for her exceptional essay!
